The Cruise Canada New England 2011 Symposium

The Cruise Canada New England 2011 Symposium will be held in New York City from June 14-16, organized by Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services and NYCruise.
The Symposium brings together cruise industry leaders from Canada and New England, promoting the region as an international cruise destination. European industry leaders also attend, reflecting the importance of transatlantic planning and partnerships.  Attendees will have the opportunity to further develop cruise industry relationships with executives from major cruise lines, destination partners, port authorities, tour operators, tourism offices, marine agencies, airports, hotels, chambers of commerce and cruise associations.
Now in its 13th year, the 2011 symposium will combine the invaluable networking opportunities of previous years, with a practical approach to sharing of best practices.   The conference’s business sessions, panel discussions and social functions provide cruise industry partners with a superb forum for the exchange of information, sharing of ideas and cultivation of valuable business relationships.  Industry experts will also speak about the contemporary issues affecting cruise lines and all related trades.
As the home port for many cruise lines sailing to Canada New England, New York provides the perfect backdrop for this event.  Known as the ‘city that never sleeps’, attendees are sure to enjoy its bustling and energetic atmosphere, complemented by the diverse culture and array of sightseeing opportunities.  This year is also a celebration. The cruise industry, just like every other, has had to endure extra pressures as a result of the economic downturn. However, it has proven itself to be incredibly resilient, continuing to grow while other sectors faltered. Therefore, we are pleased to announce a series of cocktail ‘meet & greets’, a lobster dinner and some ‘surprise’ evening entertainment.
