Intercruises wins "Best Use of Technology" at Wave Awards 2018

We’re thrilled to announce that Intercruises has won the “Best Use of Technology” award at the Wave Awards 2018!

Up against fellow finalist Marella Cruises, Intercruises was shortlisted for its innovative SafeAshore system – a mobile and web application that enhances the safety and security of shore excursion guests and guides – back in December last year. Now in its third year, the Wave Awards are the UK’s premier awards for the cruise industry, and serve to benchmark industry standards and recognize, reward and celebrate innovation and excellence within the sector.

“Best Use of Technology,” was a brand new category in the line-up this year, and is Intercruises’ second Wave Award, after winning “Best UK Attraction or Excursion” in 2017.

“We’re over the moon with this award, especially as it’s a very exciting time for SafeAshore; the system is now live and in use across 10 ports worldwide, and we plan to expand into a further 80 over the next two years. It’s been a year of hard work from the teams involved, but hard work most definitely pays off and we’re extremely excited about its future potential.”
