ACCREDITATIONS REINFORCE COMMITMENT TO SERVICE QUALITY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
 
Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services, an experienced global business offering first class ground handling and port agency services to the ocean and river cruise industry, was granted the ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) accreditations following external audits by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) in the Barcelona Head Office. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 will help ensure that Intercruises services are delivered consistently and adhere to quality and sustainability policies and regulations.
 
·         ISO 9001 certifies that Intercruises processes meet statutory and regulatory requirements and Intercruises implements quality management systems designed to ensure an organization effectively responds to clients’ needs. The accreditation will standardize working practices, reinforcing Intercruises’ dedication to a consistently high standard of service.
·         ISO 14001is a framework for reducing an organization’s negative impact on the environment. Intercruises is the first ground handler to achieve the ISO 14001 and has appointed a sustainability specialist to internally develop an environmental management system and work with Intercruises teams to ensure their processes comply with all applicable legislation.

The specifics of each ISO certification are currently practiced in the Intercruises Barcelona Head Office and will be applied in all Intercruises offices worldwide via training and workshops to standardize quality processes and improve the overall environmental performance of the business. Internal audits will be performed regularly to ensure Intercruises operations standards remain high and to identify new ways of enhancing service delivery.
