At Intercruises we recognise that the environment, communities and cultures within which we operate are vital to our growth. Corporate Sustainability Policy
Establishes the framework for identifying, monitoring and improving aspects of our company’s environmental and social performance. In the policy we formulate our view on sustainability, giving an insight into our targets and the means to reach these targets. Quality Policy
An official statement on Intercruises’ commitment to comply with ISO 9001 standards and to endeavour to maintain a continual and measurable improvement to our quality management system. Applies to Intercruises and any contractor performing work on behalf of Intercruises, covering Intercruises’ business activities and operations globally. Responsibility for ensuring that Intercruises complies with this policy and any other from the Hotelbeds Group, starts with the Managing Director and continues throughout the business.

ISO 9001 and 14001 certificates:
We have been committed to ISO standards on quality 9001:2015 and environmental 14001:2015 management since 2012. We seek to continuously improve our business procedures, environmental practices while maintaining our status as a forward-thinking industry leader. Intercruises is certified for ground handling services for the ocean and river cruise industry, managed from our Head office in Barcelona, and ground services delivery for operations in Mallorca.  


United Nations Global Compact:
On November 2012, Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services became a member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), a principle based framework dedicated to the implementation of better business practices, primarily in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption encouraging business to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies and to report on their implementation

We are committed to integrating the principles of UNGC within the business’ strategy and day to day operations having a continued commitment to the initiative and its principles.

Travelife Partner certification:
Travelife Partner status was achieved in June 2016 following Intercruises involvement in the Travelife Sustainability System for Tour Operators & Travel Agencies, which certified twelve offices, providing services in 69 destinations, see the complete list here, as being committed to sustainability, with consistent sustainable business practices. This certification covered a variety of areas, including Legal Compliance, Human Rights, Transportation, Excursions and Customer Communication. Intercruises also received a global certification for its ongoing commitment to sustainability.

UNWTO Global Code of Ethics for Tourism:
Intercruises has signed the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism – a set of principles implemented by the World Tourism Organization, considered to be a point of reference for key players in the tourism industry. It aims to maximize the sector’s benefits while minimizing its potentially negative impact on the environment, cultural heritage and societies across the globe.


Child protection:
Intercruises is committed to the group Child Protection Policy, where we state our commitment to condemn the exploitation of children, a fundamental abuse of child’s human rights. We commit to maintains high standards of professional conduct.
For that reason, we work towards the principles of “The Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism” (TheCode), an industry-driven initiative with a mission to provide awareness, tools and supports to the tourism industry in order to prevent the sexual exploitation of children. Animal Welfare
We are committed to upholding minimum standards of welfare for animals whose lives are impacted by tourism.  The aim of this policy is to improve animal health and welfare worldwide, working with suppliers to ensure sustainable best practices that adhere to the Five Freedoms recommendations.
